Gem-set and diamond necklace, Michele della Valle

Designed as a series of cushion-shaped and oval gemstones including blue, pink, yellow, green and orange sapphires, pink and blue tourmalines, aquamarines, peridots and emeralds, spaced by brilliant-cut diamonds, the front with a fringe of similar stones, mounted in white and yellow gold, length approximately 410mm, signed della Valle, maker's marks.

Stamped 750 for gold, signed della Valle. Coloured stones stated to weigh as follows: yellow sapphires 49.80 carats, blue sapphires 33.63 carats, pink sapphires 22.65 carats, orange sapphires 19.92 carats, green sapphires 8.92 carats, pink tourmalines 30.26 carats, peridot 20.09 carats, aquamarine 19.91 carats, blue tourmaline 11.97 carats, emerald 3.72 carats. Diamonds stated to weigh 27.55 carats, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity. Little signs of wear to the mount. In good condition.
