Description

Designed as a bird, set with mother-of-pearl, lapis lazuli and single- and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in yellow gold and platinum,  French assay and maker's marks.

Cf: Viviane Jutheau, Sterlé Joaillier Paris, Paris, 1990, Chapter Les Broches, plate A1155, for a drawing of this brooch which was the last bird brooch ever made by Sterlé.

Condition

French assay marks for gold and platinum, maker's marks for Sterlé. Signs of little wear, scratches consistent with age, one small patch of gold to the back is damaged otherwise in very good condition.
