Mother of pearl and diamond brooch, 'Rose de Noël', Van Cleef & Arpels

Of flower head design, set with mother-of-pearl and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in yellow gold, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Stamped 750 and French assay marks for gold, numbered BL2461. The mother-of-pearl with attractive typical sheen, one small chip at the back to the edge of one of the petal but not noticeable when worn. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.40 carats in total, generally G-H colour, VS clarity. Minor scratches and tarnish to the gold at the back, consistent with normal wear. In good condition.
