Condition

The drawing has been laid down on the mount at the edges, which has caused a slight shadowing at the margins. Otherwise the sheet is in excellent condition.

Catalogue Note

A form of the wild (but thornless) 'Alpine' rose with unusually striped petals.  Today the rose, now known as Rosa pendulina 'Flore Variegato', is probably extinct in cultivation.
