Condition
Laid down on mount. There is a slight shadowing at the margins of the sheet from where the drawing is glued to the backing. A small area of yellowing to the lower right, where there are also three small pink ink (?) stains. The watercolour is still fresh and strong.

Catalogue Note
One of the daintiest of the 'dog' roses; the small, glossy leaves and the white flowers of this rose are very distinctive. The rose's modern name is Rosa agrestis and it is common in south-western Europe.
