Condition
a) Laid down at the edges to the mount, which has caused slight shadowing at the margins. There is a tiny, pale spot stain at the upper centre, but otherwise the sheet is clear and in very good condition.

Catalogue Note
Rosa Canina Nitens, which probably still grows in the wild, is a form of the common European 'dog' rose with unusually shiny leaves.
The Rosa Biserrata was found growing wild near Paris and was probably a form of the sweet-brier Rosa rubiginosa. It is now thought to be extinct.
