- SAPPHIRE, DIAMONDS
Centring on a step-cut sapphire weighing 3.26 carats set between shield-shaped diamond shoulders, size Q, signed Cartier and numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Accompanied by Gübelin report no.0909073, stating that the sapphire is natural with no indications of heating.
Stamped Pt 950 for platinum, French assay marks for platinum. Signed Cartier and numbered HPSM0332, 696 588. Style of ring known as Roxane. Sapphire a medium blue with strong saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with magnifcation, one crystal inclusion is noticeable to the naked eye but only after very close inspection, minor abrasions to girdle. Diamonds estimated colour H/I, estimated clarity VS, medium fluorescence, unusual cut with step facets to underside. Signs of normal wear to the mount. Heavy mount. In good condition.
