- PLATINUM, DIAMOND
The wide band designed as a series of articulated plaques, pierced and millegrain-set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, to foliate engraved sides, length approximately 180mm, signed Gattle.
Condition
Signed very discreetly to the tongue of the clasp. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 17.00 -17.50 carats, bright, lively stones. Well articulated. Secure clasp, safety catch to underside. Scratches to mount consistent with age and wear. In very good condition.

Catalogue Note
The company was founded in the late 19th century by Emanuel Gattle, the shop E. M. Gattle originally located on Broadway in the theatre district, then in early part of the 20th century after a couple of moves located to the highly desirable location of 55th Street and Fifth Avenue, near to the St. Regis Hotel. Stars such as Enrico Caruso the opera singer was a patron and his name and portrait were even used in advertising. The firm was successful until the late 1940s when the business closed.
