  • SAPPHIRE, ENAMEL AND DIAMOND
Designed as a series of openwork foliate plaques decorated with  white and blue guilloché enamel, between links millegrain- collet-set at intervals with circular-cut sapphires, highlighted with similarly set diamonds, length approximately 200mm, French assay and maker's marks, unsigned.

Condition

French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Collets around diamonds probably platinum. Maker's mark in a lozenge with a LG between a horn-like motif, for the company Léon Gariod. Gautrait began his career working for Léon Gariod as a modeller and a chaser which is notably demonstrated in this fine piece of jewellery. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.60 carats. Sapphires with abraded facet junctions. Scratches to mounting consistent with age and wear. Weighing approximately 29.4 grams. In good condition.
