CITRINE HAIR ORNAMENT, circa 1830

Of open work design with acanthus leaf and floral motifs, decorated with two graduated series of oval citrine within filigree details, to a hair comb, inner circumference approximately 165mm, French assay and maker's marks.



 

French import marks. Citrine graduating in size, largest approximately 24mm x 17.4mm x 10 mm, smallest approximately 10mm x 7.8mm x 4.8mm, light brownish yellow, loupe clean translucent stones, well matched in colour. Some citrine mounts slightly bent, evidence of some repair. Could benefit from careful professional clean. In good condition.
