Description

  • OPAL, RUBIES, EMERALDS, DIAMONDS, SILVER AND GOLD
Designed as a butterfly its body set with an oval cabochon opal, the wings accented with step-cut emeralds and cabochon rubies, within surrounds of cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds.

Condition

Mounted in silver and gold. White opal displaying typical play-of-colour, scratches to surface. Emeralds a light green, typical inclusions visible with magnification, abraded facet junctions, one slightly stronger in tone than the other, different shapes. Rubies a medium red, one slightly pinkish red, semi-translucent, faceted to underside. Diamonds of mixed colours and clarities weighing approximately 7.50 - 8.50 carats. Safety catch to pin. In good condition.
