Description

  • 18 CARAT GOLD, RUBIES AND PERIDOTS
Comprising: a gold mesh bag to a chased frame of floral and foliate designs, accented with faceted peridots and rubies, to a fetter link chain, measurements approximately 145mm x 120mm, French assay marks; together with a bag of fine chevron mesh to a snake curb link chain, gold silk lining, measurements approximately 140mm x 125mm, numbered.

Condition

Gem-set bag: French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Peridots a light yellowish green, well matched in colour, nicks and abrasions. Rubies a moderately strong purplish (pinkish) red with typical inclusions visible with magnifications, nicks. Scratches to frame consistent with age and wear. Weighing approximately 304.4 grams. Chevron bag: Stamped 750 and 18K for 18 carat gold, numbered 52510. Stamped Breveté for copyright and the initials S.C.D.G. Very fine mesh. Weighing approximately 207.7 grams. Both in very good condition.
