Description

  • GOLD, SAPPHIRE, RUBY AND DIAMOND
Comprising: a dual opening rectangular case, the thumb pieces set with calibré-cut rubies and baguette diamonds respectively, revealing a mirror, three compartments, and lipstick, the other a cigarette case and lighter, measurements approximately 114mm x 74mm x 19mm, signed Cartier London and maker's marks, British hallmarks for London,1936; together with a rectangular compact, embellished with circular-cut sapphires, measurements approximately 82mm x 57mm x 20mm, signed Tobias Beverly Hills.

Sapphires a dark blue, with different saturations of colour, abraded facet junctions, nicks and surface reaching fractures. Estimated to weigh approximately 344 grams. Lipstick with British hallmarks for London, 1937. Powder compact stamped 14 carat gold, signed Tobias Beverlly Hills, Estimated to weigh approximately 173 grams. Scratches to both cases consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
