Set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing approximately 4.25 carats, partially bordered by alternately-set baguette diamonds and tapered baguette rubies, further enhanced by pavé-set diamonds, the total diamond weight approximately 1.40 carats, size 4½, numbered 32871.

Condition

In good condition. Ruby of deep slightly brownish red, strong saturation; a shade deeper than shown in the printed catalogue illustration. With typical inclusions, lively. Remaining rubies well-matched, one with hairline fissure. Set with 9 baguette and 16 round diamonds, approximately F-H color, VS clarity. Though registers as a 4½ on the mandrel, accomodates a 5¾ size finger. With minor signs of wear.
