Bezel-set with an emerald-cut violet sapphire weighing approximately 20.00 carats, size 9½, signed Gillot & Co.

Condition

Very good condition with almost no apparent wear to the mounting. Bearing a nice heft, gross weight approximately 14.2 dwts. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 43099 stating that the sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin, no gemological evidence of heat, quality of color change very good to good with a 60-70% degree of color change The color changes from the shade of violet shown in the printed catalogue illustration to a more blue-violet color in daylight. Moderately saturated. Eye-clean with a few minute chips seen with a 10x loupe.
