Executed on cream wove paper, laid down on Japanese paper. The Japanese paper is taped to the mount. There are three repaired tears to the sheet - a 7 cm one running vertically from the lower left edge, a 5 cm one running diagonally in the upper left corner and a tiny one along the upper left edge. There are some thin red pencil lines in the lower right quadrant and a 12 cm horizontal line only visible at close inspection in the upper left quadrant. There is a light, oily stain in the centre of the right section and a light brown water stain in the upper right corner. Apart from scattered light time-staining, this work is in stable condition.
