Condition

Slight rippling to sheet. Handling creases most noticable along edges particularly at top and bottom. One hole to left of large walking figure and one in figure's left leg. Small stain at bottom right corner. Tape residue on verso, shows through at bottom edge on recto.

Catalogue Note

Tchelitchew began working on sketches for his monumental work Phenomena between 1935 and 1938. Today, Phenomena is in the Tret'yakov Gallery in Moscow.
