Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a thick layer of varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating but there appear to be a few scattered specks of retouching to the lower part of the vase and a nailhead-sized spot of fluorescence, probably retouching towards the lower right corner. Otherwise, this work appears to be in very good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although more vibrant in the original.
