Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a very thick and uneven vanish which prevents the UV light from fully penetrating. There are two small areas of fluorescence in the lower left quadrant, possibly retouching or possibly due to the uneven vanish. Otherwise, there are no signs of retouching are visible under UV light. There is a stable light craquelure pattern visible throughout the painting (visible in the catalogue illustration). This work appears to be in overall good condition.
