Condition

(i) Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, attached to the mount at intervals along the edges, floating in the mount. The upper edge is deckled. There is a 2.5cm tear to the left of the lower edge. There is a vertical flattened fold across the centre of the sheet (visible in the catalogue illustration), with associated minor flattened creases and medium rubbing; the fold is most probably intrinsic to the artist’s support. Apart from some light time staining and a diagonal crease in the lower right corner, this work is in overall good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, though the colours are slightly more vibrant in the original than in the printed version. (ii) Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, attached to the over mount along all four corners. There are some scratches to the surface of the medium, possibly intrinsic to the artist’s process. Apart from a few small creases along the right edge with associated medium rubbing (visible in catalogue illustration), this work is in overall very good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the colours are slightly brighter in the original than in the printed version.
