Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a thick layer of varnish which prevents further examination. UV light reveals a 3 cm line of retouching running horizontally towards the centre of the left edge, another 2 cm horizontal line of retouching running just above, some scattered spots of retouching running along the upper edge and two 4 cm intermittent lines of retouching in the upper right quadrant. Apart from a tiny spot of retouching towards the centre of the right edge, this work is in overall good condition.
