In generally good condition. The work is painted on a somewhat uneven pieve of panel with eight nail heads visible on the surface (mostly underneath the paint layer) and several more possibly concealed by the image. Some somewhat unobtrusive vertical cracking, most prominently through the left-hand side of the woman's face. Pigment separation in the woman's hair and collar and in the red of the background at top and left. UV: no apparent inpainting.
