Description

  • A STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC SWEEP SECONDS WRISTWATCH WITH BRACELETCIRCA 1958 REF 6536/1 'JAMES BOND' SUBMARINER
  • diameter 37 mm
• cal. 1030 automatic movement, 25 jewels • black dial, luminescent triangular, dot and baton indexes • rotating black bezel calibrated for 60 units, screw-down crown and screw back • case, dial and movement signed • stainless steel solid Rolex Oyster flip-lock bracelet with deployant clasp

Condition

The movement is running, however it might require service soon. It is numbered N791152.The dial appears to be in nice condition, however the luminescent paint appears to be re-painted brown at some point. The hands have aged to green and might not be original to the watch. The case shows general wear with surface scuffs. The lugs retain nice beveled corners. The numbers between the lugs are 398686 and 6536-1. Inside the back is 6536/1 and IV.1958. The outside of the back appears to have been polished. The bezel insert does not appear to be the proper, original one with a red triangle at the top and might have come from a later James Bond model.
