In order to export this watch, the plastic seal will need to be cut open and the reptile strap will need to be removed. Ref. 5350 is the first Patek Philippe watch to be fitted with their technologically advanced patented SpiromaxR spring and silicon escape wheel, the purpose of which is to achieve isochronous vibration and therefore a higher rate of accuracy. The watch has been fitted with a specially shaped balance cock to allow the SpiromaxR and the nearly black silicon escape wheel to be more easily viewed. The 21k gold rotor is fitted with a zirconium ball bearing as is the silicon escape wheel which never needs to be lubricated. The Ref. 5350R was produced in a limited series of 300 pieces.
