• cal. 27-460M automatic nickel lever movement stamped twice with the seal of Geneva, 37 jewels, free-sprung Gyromax balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, 18k yellow gold signed rotor • gilt dial, painted radial Roman numerals, aperture for date at 3 o'clock, IOS logo above 6 o'clock • 18k yellow gold case, sloped bezel, Million Dollar Associate engraving to the snap back • 18k yellow gold integrated mesh belt-like bracelet and clasp • case, dial, movement and bracelet signed
Condition
Automatic movement running and date advancing while cataloguing, but recommend service soon. Dial looks nice and clean. Case, bracelet and clasp with scuffs from light wear only, but it is hardly noticeable. Overall appears in very good condition. Inside case back numbered 3565 1 and 2673935. Movement numbered 1128074 .

Ref. 3565/1 is best known as the reward of choice that Investors Overseas Service gave its salespeople who reached the milestone of one million dollars of sales. Founded by Bernie Cornfeld, the company enjoyed great success in the sale of mutual funds during the 1960s, but its pyramid-scheme structure came unravelled as the market fell at the end of the decade.
