  • diameter 65 mm
• gilt full plate verge movement signed Rudkin Amsterdam, pierced and engraved balance cock, fusee and chain, gilt regulation dial • silver dial with engraved scrolled foliage, aperture for the night and day hours on a blued steel disc with sun and moon display, Roman numerals on a retrograde hour sector  to indicate by means of the sun and the moon the diurnal and nocturnal hours, outer minute ring with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds • outer decorated silver case with a biblical scene, The Flight into Egypt, bezel set with floral scroll chased with a repoussé italic pattern', inner plain case • dial and movement signed

Condition

Movement not running, a service is recommended for it to be fully operational. Dial with signs of wear due to aging, discoloration to the blued steel disc, overall it retains a lovely patina. Outer case with a well preserved decoration on the back. This a fine and rare example of sun and moon watch with decorated silver pair case from that period.
