• oval gilt brass full plate movement signed Nicolas Le Cauchoys, Rouen, flat steel two-arm balance, finely pierced and engraved balance cock • silver engraved dial, landscape to the centre, applied gilt chapter ring, Roman numerals, markers for the quarters, outer dial with engraved figures and foliate decoration • the rear engraved cover depicting Hercules capturing the Cretan Bull, the cover with Alexander the Great, the band highly engraved with various animals and a hunter, rear interior lid with sundial, gnomon and compass
