• cal. 27-460M automatic movement stamped twice with the seal of Geneva, 37 jewels, 18k gold rotor • silvered dial, applied indexes, aperture for date • stepped bezel, faceted lugs, screw back • case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker and retailer • Extract from the Archives confirming sale on 22 May 1962 • accompanied by an unsigned 18k gold bracelet

Condition

The movement is running, however it may require service soon. The dial is in good condition with no visible imperfections. The case is polished, with polished gold marks to the side of the lug and to the band and the lugs are not crisply defined. However, the overall appearance of the watch is attractive and without signs of wear. The watch has both an unsigned 18k yellow gold woven bracelet and a reptile strap. The Extract confirms that it left the factory on a strap. The strap contains endangered species; please see Important Notices for further information.

Catalogue Note

Ref. 3445, frequently referred to as the 'Monodate', was the first calendar wristwatch produced by the company in series. It was manufactured from 1961 until 1981.
