Condition

The present example has a black bezel insert probably taken from a Ref. 6241 model. The movement is running and chronograph is functioning although it will need a cleaning and service soon. The dial is generally in nice condition with a spot that looks like a drop of glue over the R in Rolex. The case shows general wear throughout with surface scuffs. The engraved inscription to the back reads, "Jim 11-12-73 Love Jan". The numbers between the lugs read 6239 and 1782237 and inside the back reads 6239. The bracelet is rather stretched with an overall length of approximately 180mm.
