The paintins are warmer in tone than the catalogue illustrations suggest. Both canvases have effective relinings. The paint surfaces appear to the naked eye to be a little dirty but otherwise in good overall condition. In the paintign with the tree at left, e snall series of resotred losses is present to the right of the tree as well as some small retouchings. centre rigth and lower centre. In the painting with the tree at right small retocuchings floresce in the figure with the red drapery and in two small areas toward the lower edge (right and centre left). The aforementioned retouchings flouresce under the thick varnish with UV light but otherwise the paintings appear in good condition and are offered in carved and gilt wood frames in good condition.
