Overall the painting is in good condition. There are scattered retouches in the sky, most pinhead size. The vast majority of the architecture has remained untouched. There is a small area of retouch along the right column on the left side of the composition. There is a similarly sized area of retouch along the far right column, and on the steps just below. There is an area of slightly larger retouches in the upper left corner. None of these retouches detract from the overall effect of the composition, which still presents a strong image. In a carved, painted, and giltwood frame.
