a rare example of an early polish skullcap

(circumference: 21  in.; 534mm), silk and metal ground, embroidered with silk and metal wrapped threads, in the technique of spanier-arbeit; much of metal abraded, silk core exposed, some loose thread and fraying; ground, with partial metal strips oxidized.
