The ancient Assyrian stone reliefs reproduced in this bracelet are from the Palace of King Ashurnasirpal II, currently housed in the British Museum.  During his reign (883-859 BC), Ashurnasirpal II conquered Mesopotamia and the territory that is modern-day Lebanon.  He was also an enthusiastic hunter and claimed to have personally killed 450 lions.
