- Diamond, ruby and platinum
The pendant-brooch set with a round ruby weighing approximately 1.10 carats, old European-cut, single-cut and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 6.75 carats, mounted in platinum; the chain collet-set with old European-cut and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.10 carats, mounted in platinum, length 22 inches.
Condition
Good condition. PENDANT-BROOCH: the richly saturated slightly purplish red ruby is very lightly included; minute abrasions to facet junctions. Diamonds approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Pendant loop and pin possibly later added. CHAIN: The chain, while dating from the same general time period as the pendant, does not appear to be original to the necklace. Collet-set with 17 old European-cut and 1 single-cut diamonds; approximately H-J color, VS-I clarity.
