  • MAHOGANY, BEECHWOOD, LEATHER, BRASS
  • 101cm. high, 82.5cm. wide, 74cm. overall; 3ft. ¾in., 2ft. 8½in., 2ft. 5in.
with blind-fret carved supports and green leather upholstery, with restorations including re-railing

Condition

In restored condition. Re-railed. One armchair has visible tenons coming through rails, the other does not. Angle struts to rails replaced. Back legs to one armchair with spliced restorations. Castors differ between chairs - they are possibly later. . One has brass castors and the other has leather and brass castors. Recently upholstered. Filled nail holes to underside of arms suggesting they may have been padded at some stage. Pierced fret angle brackets to legs possbily with some replacements. General old marks and scratches. Structurally sound. Height of seat 44cm., width between arms 61cm., depth of seat 51cm.
