Le motif des cercles décroissants à l'aplomb des pieds de notre guéridon se retrouve sur plusieurs meubles produits par Jean-Joseph Chapuis (1765-1864), célèbre ébéniste bruxellois, notamment sur un guéridon très similaire au nôtre (vente Sotheby's à New York, le 5 novembre 1998, lot 479) et sur une table à jeux (vente Sotheby's à Amsterdam, le 17 décembre 2002, lot 283).
