Both with general surface abrasions, minor chipping and losses throughout. Firing cracks. Saint Peter: some restoration to base and to his proper right ankle. Loss to toe on proper right foot and chip to proper left. Saint Andrew: some surface restorations and restorations to proper left foot (crack at ankle), legs, and drapery between legs and base. Loss to drapery on right near shoulder and to part of proper right hand. Proper right arm broken and repaired. Stable, well modeled.

The present pair of saints relates to the series of large marble apostles in San Giovanni in Laterano, Rome produced by a variety of sculptors, including Pierre-Etienne Monnot, in the early 18th century. The pattern of drapery folds and general facial types of the terracottas echo those of Monnot's marble figures of Saints Peter and Paul.
