the first of faceted rock crystal supported on four seated sphinxes  above and oval engraved base, bloodstone matrix carved with arms and supporters, the other inlaid with panels of specimen hardstones, with vari-colord gold borders of chased flowers, carnelian armorial base

Provenance

The arms on the faceted rock crystal are those of Carolath-Beuthen of Silesia, created Princes in 1753.  The arms of the specimen hardstone seal are those of Counts Strogonov of Russia.

Condition

the first with small chip to rock crystal, the second with minor chips and cracks to hardstones
