the vase form body chased with swags of flowers and foliage centered on one side by an asymmetrical cartouche engraved with arms, above a dolphin-form spigot with ivory handle carved as a shell, the handles formed as twisted branches, and with flower spray finial, the crested neck and square base chased to match, base with apron pierced with scrolling foliage, raised on four leaf-capped shell feet

The arms are probably those of Hanvill, co. Buckingham with Hooper in pretence.

Condition

repair to finial, stand with base metal support for heating plug where body locks to stand, multiple repairs to apron of stand oen foot needs straigntening but stable, otherwise good condition
