Catalogue Note

In 1914, an engraving company in Toronto, Legge Bros., employed Tom Thomson to create images that were designed to promote the city of Owen Sound.

In the series of small oil and gouache sketches that he made, twelve were chosen and designed as a sheet of stamps in an edition of two hundred and fifty.
