Catalogue Note
Ewen's fascination with natural phenomena, such the weather and storms, stars and comets, suns and moons, lead him to make some remarkable large paintings. This delightful small watercolour is a by-product of his explorations in these things that so directly affect our existence.
I call my work 'Phenomascapes' because they are images of what is happening around us as individuals, rain, lightning, hail, wind. They are also images of what is happening in and around our Universe, Galaxies, Solar Eruptions. They are sometimes inner phenomena. I observe, contemplate, then attack.
