the compote applied at rim with female masks flanked by pine branches and grapevine, the up-turned scroll handles decorated with anthemions and centered by flowerheads; the pitcher of baluster form with gadrooned neck engraved with leaves, the spout applied with an eagle on a branch staring at two serpents, scroll handle formed as an oak branch and applied with leaves and a lizard and with lion mask upper handle terminal, engraved below spout with presentation inscription
Condition
compote with a little overall wear, a couple old but neat repairs to where masks join branches, pitcher good condition
