Condition

Overall excellent original condition consigned by the original owner. The metal surfaces with some light oxidation, which makes the surface appear slightly spotted and is consistent with the natural aging process of the metal. This is visible in the detail image which appears in both the online and print catalogues. This does not in any way impact the overall presence of the piece. The original glass top with some shallow surface scratches. The glass top with indentations in the glass for the proper placement on the base. The base with leveling feet.

Catalogue Note

The "Vrillée" table was created from a single sheet of steel, in which each arm was twisted into its current position.  The manner in which this table was conceived gives the form an overall sense of tension and movement, with an elegance in the simplicity of its materials.  This rare table model debuted at the 1962 Salon des Arts Ménagers and approximately ten examples are known to exist.
