Overall in very good condition. With a few occasional scattered air bubble inclusions inherent in the making. The exterior of the vase with some light surface scratches, more prevalent along the lower register as a result of contact over time with the bronze mount. The interior edge of the rim with a subtle indentation which appears to be a burst air bubble inherent in the making. The exterior edge of the rim with a few exceedingly minute edge flecks. The top neck of the vase shows no evidence of being previously mounted as a hanging shade (though this form could alternatively be used in this capacity). The gilt bronze mount with surface wear to the patina, surface soiling, and a few small areas of oxidation. The immense scale of this vase is spectacular, and the decoration exquisitely rendered. The colors are more vibrant and the decoration more subtle than depicted in the catalogue illustration, which is slightly too dense and over saturated.
