Condition

Overall in very good condition. With approximately 8 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout the shade. One glass tile along the bottom register of the shade (a green lily pad overlapped on both sides with full lily pads) is entirely crazed with tiny cracks throughout (possibly due to heat exposure over time), with some minute associated fragmentary losses to the glass, and with evidence of old glue adhesive on the interior. The shade with light surface soiling throughout. The shade leading (particularly labor intensive on this model) is beautifully rendered, displaying a deep russet brown and green patina. The patinated bronze base, an unusual model infrequently seen, is finely cast, with an exceptionally rich russet brown and green patina. The base with very minimal gentle wear and rubbing to the patina. Two of the feet brackets are slightly bent outward from the bottom of the cushion base, presenting a small gap where these two feet meet the base (if desired this is likely an easy mechanical adjustment). All of the hardware, sockets, and switches are period and appear undisturbed to the lamp. With a rare decorated finial. The threaded pin which secures the finial to the base is replaced. Presently wired with a European plug. The colors of the glass are far more vibrant than in the catalogue illustration (which is slightly too dark and over saturated). The greens show far greater vibrancy and variation, and the background glass is a pale silvery blue which is subtly textured on the interior to impart greater visual depth.
