Description
- Edgar Brandt
- Firescreen
- impressed BRANDT
- patinated wrought iron
Provenance
Christie's New York, December 10, 1998, lot 153
Condition
Overall very good condition. The screen is without a mesh backing, although it appears to have been designed as such and does not appear to be lacking any elements. With minor spots of oxidation and some rubbing to the patination at the edges. The original shallow stamped signature appears to been heightened, and at a later date possibly with an attempt to add an E.
