Overall in excellent condition. When examined under black light there is no evidence of prior restoration. The vase has a slight inherent lean which is inherent in the making. The lean is to one axis, so when viewed from another axis the vase appears straight as seen in the catalogue illustration. (This lean can be easily minimized by placing felt gliders on the underbase.) With a few minute surface imperfections to the glaze inherent in the making. With a few traces of minor surface soiling to the body, and with light surface soiling to the recessed contours on the lower register of the vase. The underside with two small felt glider pads and some traces of adhesive residue. A beautiful example of this rare and iconic example displaying a superb glaze with strong charcoaling.
