Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wrought iron surfaces appear to retain their original patina, and have been sensitively waxed. The hand-forged iron surfaces show very gentle surface wear, rubbing, and minor areas of discoloration consistent with age and use, and with minor surface imperfections throughout inherent in the making. The right andiron with a minor surface irregularity (this area is rough to the touch) along the front left border at the mid-point of the standard (1 ½ inches). The andirons have wonderful presence in person, displaying great scale and a bold silhouette.
