Condition
Overall in very good condition. The hand-wrought copper surfaces appear to retain their original russet brown patina, and show minimal surface wear, rubbing and surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The lantern hood has some minor irregular bends (possibly inherent in the making). The shade arms with some subtle irregular bends. The hand-wrought copper ceiling plate, hand-forged link chain, and hand-blown opalescent glass shade are all period. The glass shade with no visible condition issues. With period electrical socket on the interior. Lacking original pull chain and ceiling plate screws. A beautiful intact example of this exceedingly rare lantern design, displaying exceptional hand-hammering and a rich russet brown patina.
