  • silver
  • diameter 55.5 mm, 54 mm
• each with full plate verge movement • the first: polychrome enamel dial with eccentric hour display and an animated scene showing General Bonaparte's troops marching through Arcola, d. 16ten nvbr. 1795 • the second: polychrome enamel dial with eccentric hour display and date indication • polished silver and gilt Empire style cases

Condition

Both movements not running while cataloguing, a service is recommended for both of them to be fully operational. Dial on the second watch with a dent towards the key winding hole, the first one in good condition. Both cases with tarnishing throughout, the second one with indentations to the back. Overall, these two watches are interesting examples from the time period, the one most probably made as a commemorative souvenir of General Bonaparte's victorious campaign in Italy.
